Located in the Towns of Duxbury and Moretown

This offering is for 136+/- acres of land and several buildings including an older residence, two barns and other storage structures. Said property is offered for sale by the State of Vermont and is being publicly advertised until August 15, 2008. The property will be sold at public auction by sealed bid. The property is subject to state and local permits, a conservation easement to be held by the Duxbury Land Trust, and restrictive deed covenants relating to historic preservation. A packet containing information on these items and sale procedures can be obtained by contacting Property Management, Department of Buildings and General Services, 10 Baldwin Street, Montpelier, VT 05633-7001, (802) 828-3390. Informational packets may be obtained at 10 Baldwin Street or via U.S. Mail. Informational packets shall NOT be distributed via facsimile, e-mail or other electronic means. A mandatory walk-thru of the property is scheduled for Tuesday, August 19, 2008 at 9:00 a.m., rain or shine. Informational packets will also be available at the walk-thru.

DUXBURY STATE FARM –ADDITIONAL SALE INFORMATION

Several questions were raised at the mandatory walk-through on August 19, 2008. In response to those questions, BGS is posting this additional information and is extending the date that bids are due until October 1, 2008.

The farm is not currently, nor has it ever been, supplied by a public water supply system.

The State does not have an appraisal for the Duxbury Farm.
