RE: State of Vermont Graphic Standards Manual
DATE: July 19, 2005
Attached you will find the new State of Vermont Graphic Standards Manual. This manual was developed, at the Governor’s request, to bring consistency and cost savings to the design of print materials produced by the State. The manual contains design, color and print specifications and guidelines for use by all agencies and departments in State Government. These guidelines are not voluntary and must be used when developing/ordering:
- Business cards
- Letterhead
- Envelopes
- Advertising
- Outreach materials including brochures and signage
In addition, the manual provides information on the State approved suppliers, the use of official symbols, and the list of approved logos. “The Moon and the Mountains” is the official State logo for the State of Vermont. New logos are not encouraged but will be considered on a case by case basis by the Department of Tourism and Marketing.
Please use your current inventory of stationary and business cards until such time that they are reordered, or December 31, 2005, whichever comes first. All unapproved logos should be discontinued.
Please contact The Department of Tourism and Marketing (VDTM) at 828-3676 to address any exception requests and logo approval issues or for guidance on use of the manual. VDTM looks forward to working with all of State Government to fully implement these standards.
