VEHICLE RENTAL INFORMATION

RENTAL VEHICLES

The State of Vermont Purchasing and Contract Administration Division recently issued an RFP for rental vehicles. The awarded vendor is Enterprise Rent a Car or ELRAC Inc. The new contract number is 9817. The contract covers rental vehicles for use by state employees when traveling on official state business. This contract also offers long term truck rental rates. This contract replaces previous contract #376.

The contract contains separate rates for rentals originating within Vermont and rates for rentals originating outside of Vermont.

ALL RENTAL RATES INCLUDE UNLIMITED MILEAGE, $1 MILLION SUPPLEMENTAL LIABILITY PROTECTION AND FULL DAMAGE WAIVER INSURANCE COVERAGE WITH NO DEDUCTIBLE.

NO ADDITIONAL INSURANCE SHOULD BE PURCHASED BY THE CUSTOMER.

For rentals originating within Vermont, customers will need their State Department customer number to make a reservation.

For rentals originating outside of Vermont, customers will need to provide a valid driver’s license and credit card, i.e. the State of Vermont Visa Card in addition to their State Department customer number to make a reservation.

Contractor will provide free vehicle drop off and pick up within Vermont if requested.

All vehicles shall be provided with a full tank of fuel. Customers are reminded to refill the fuel tank before returning the vehicle or the contractor will refill the fuel tank and invoice the department at cost plus a markup.
